So much time has passed since I was in Berlin, but when I look at these pictures so many details come flooding back. I remember the walk from that park to the bar so vividly; the conversations we had, the storefronts we stopped to admire. It's as if I have a video saved in my mind.
Berlin was my first experience in Germany and I wasn't sure what to expect. In some aspects it was completely different from Portugal yet still very European, and some areas reminded me of Brooklyn. The creative community is inspiring and a force to be reckoned with. I would love to go back and further explore what their culture has to offer.
My mom was the perfect partner for touring Versailles, she is definitely where I got my infatuation of royal history. One of my favorite parts of traveling might be floating through palaces and imagining myself in their prime.
Even though Paris is not my home, my extended stay allowed me to experience both the lesser-known gems and the obvious must-sees. It's always fun taking people around to sightsee the touristy hot spots and I would gladly do it a million times over in the City of Light.
